San Domenico is currently a co-ed Pre-K-8 day school and girls’ 9-12 day and boarding school located on 515 acres in San Anselmo, Caifornia with plans in progress to extend the co-educational program to grades 9-12 in the fall of 2015. Founded in 1850 by Dominican sisters, it is California’s first independent school. The school features innovative and rigorous academics informed by the Dominican values of study, reflection, service and community. On campus are state-of-the art academic facilities, a music conservatory, riding stables, swimming pool, gymnasium, one-acre organic garden, 2,358 solar panels, and six tennis courts. The school was Marin’s first to implement a one-to-one iPad program for students in grades 3-12.
